Vapour control membranes
Vapour control membranes offer airtight resistance against vapor pressure. In an insulated building where there is a temperature difference between the warm indoors and the cold outdoors there is a difference in humidity. A vapour control membrane offers enough resistance against vapor pressure to protect insulation against the effects of moisture.
Vapour control membranes are always used on the warm side of the insulation.
