Miofol® AVS 4 is a 6-layer laminated membrane that features a membrane flap and integrated adhesive strip. Miofol® AVS 4 also contains 4 mm of PE foam and pure aluminium film. The aluminium is protected by a coating. Thanks to the effective conductive properties of aluminium, the membrane helps to improve the indoor climate when used together with underfloor heating. The floor’s heating time will be reduced by circa 25% and the surface temperature will increase by 2 to 3°C.


Miofol® AVS 4 is used as a vapour barrier under cement screeds. Miofol® AVS 4 has been specially developed for use under floor coverings that feature underfloor heating. The coated aluminium top layer helps to conduct heat effectively, which means the floor covering will heat up quickly and uniformly. This maximises comfort and means heating systems can operate at a lower setting. It is also suitable as a vapour barrier on the inside of constructions and insulation, in e.g., climate class 4.


Roll out Miofol® AVS 4 horizontally on an even floor and fold upwards against vertical surfaces. You must place the membrane so the aluminium side is facing upwards. Thanks to the integrated adhesive strip and an overlap area, the individual strips can be used to create a fully sealed moisture barrier. After an hour, cut away the surplus membrane from walls, and place Miofoam® edge strips against the walls.
