Description

TAFTEX® IN-150 is a black PP non-woven membrane that features an aluminium layer. TAFTEX® IN-150 is a reflective vapour barrier membrane that serves to protect insulation material and structures in roofs and walls. TAFTEX® IN-150 prevents moisture in indoor areas from infiltrating into the construction or insulation. The aluminium surface reflects heat radiation, which helps to ensure higher heat resistance.

Applications

TAFTEX® IN-150 is used as vapour barrier membrane in wall and roof constructions. The membrane is used on the warm side of the construction. Due to its moisture-proof properties, TAFTEX® IN-150 is suitable for buildings in climate class 4, such as saunas, swimming pools, bathrooms, fitness rooms, etc. TAFTEX® IN-150 protects constructions against moisture and ensures an optimised and airtight insulation.

Processing

TAFTEX® IN-150 should be applied to the warm side of roof and wall constructions. Use staples to attach the membrane to the underlying construction. Keep an extra 150 mm at all horizontal and vertical overlaps. To ensure effective moisture inhibition, we recommend using TAFTEX® Alu tape to tape over staples, joints and overlaps. Use VAST-R® Butyl tape or Tyvek® FlexWrap tape to make openings and joints wind- and watertight.
