Applications
Tyvek® FlexWrap tape must be used to create air- and waterproof seals around openings and joints in construction membranes. Tyvek® FlexWrap tape permits structural movements thanks to its extreme flexibility and permanently elastic adhesive layer.
Processing
Tyvek® FlexWrap tape should be carefully applied around areas that must be sealed. The surface must be free of dirt, moisture, grease and other substances that hinder effective bonding. Tyvek® FlexWrap tape must be applied in dry conditions and at temperatures over 0°C. A primer is recommended if the surface is not ideal and if used at temperatures below 0°C. Rub over the tape to avoid creases and air bubbles. Use your hand to apply pressure across the whole surface. This will ensure effective bonding with the underlying surface (it is difficult to move the tape once pressure has been applied).
