Tyvek Metal
Tyvek® Metal is a permeable air-cavity membrane that is placed under metal roof coverings with standing seams. The membrane features a PP composite drainage structure, whereby condensation, which has formed under stainless steel, copper or zinc roofs, can be discharged over the Tyvek® layer. The membrane must be applied to softwood panels and features a self-adhesive overlap strip.

Applications
Tyvek® Metal is used as a watertight and extremely permeable layer on the cold side (often the outer side) of metal roof constructions in new-build and renovation projects.
Processing
Tyvek® Metal is applied to softwood planks, which means the membrane is applied horizontally in the same way as roof tiles. Roll out Tyvek® Metal so the self-adhesive strip is at the top, and faces outwards. Also start by first attaching the membrane with staples. Then fold part of the second membrane upwards and simultaneously remove the adhesive film from the first membrane. Repeat this across the length of the roof and apply pressure to the adhesive strip to fix it firmly in place. The maximum free span is 1200 mm. Make sure the black composite drainage structure faces the roof covering.
