Tyvek® Typrotec (plus) is a water-resistant and extremely breathable, 2-layer spunbonded membrane composed of HDPE and PP Typar®, based on Tyvek® DuPont technology. The membrane is flexible, has very high nail tear resistance and is easy to process. Due to the functional Tyvek® layer, Tyvek® Typrotec (plus) has high temperature resistance. The Tyvek® Typrotec plus has an integrated adhesive strip that eliminates the need for a Tyvek® tape at the overlaps.

Tyvek® Typrotec (plus) is used as a waterproof and extremely breathable layer on the cold side of roof structures. This membrane is completely waterproof and can therefore also be applied directly to hard substrates (such as the roof boarding). Tyvek® Typrotec (plus) is used in both new construction and renovation work.
Apply Tyvek® Typrotec (plus) in a shingle fashion where horizontal overlaps should be at least 150mm. Staple and overlap seams with Tyvek® tape. Tyvek® Typrotec (plus) is applied to the structure using stainless steel staples after which the battens are placed over the staples. VASTR® Nail Sealing Tape should be applied under the batten to ensure water tightness of screw hole connection. Always apply Tyvek® Typrotec (plus) legibly from the outside.
