Preventing rising damp in masonry or battens around open building sections is possible with VASTR® DPC membrane. The waffle structure in the surface of the membrane provides a better bond with the substrate or mortar. Drainage of moisture in the cavity, connections around window frames or prevention of rising damp between foundation and building element are common applications of DPC membrane. VASTR® DPC membrane has limited UV resistant membranes and is therefore not suitable for when permanently exposed to sunlight.
