Perfo® is used in facades as a breathable layer on the outside (cold side) in facades. Perfo® is also used as a temporary glazing liner for wind and watertighting facade openings during construction. The microperforation allows construction moisture to drain to the outside.
Perfo® is micro-perforated, which means that it has limited waterproofing and should therefore be processed free of hard substrates. In facades with a soft substrate, for example mineral wool, the Perfo® may be applied directly to the soft substrate. Apply the Perfo® in a shingle fashion. For horizontal overlaps, maintain a minimum of 100 mm and a maximum of 200 mm. Apply the Perfo® to the structure using stainless steel staples with maximum spacing of 150 mm. Tape off staples and seams with VASTR® membrane tape basic.
