VASTR® Butyl Tape can be used for wind, water and airtight connection of membranes to stone, concrete, metal and wooden structures. VASTR® Butyl Tape should also be applied under (fabric or compression) lath to ensure a durable waterproofing of the screws or nails.
VASTR® Butyl Tape must be applied to a surface free of dust and grease to ensure proper adhesion. Adhesion of the VASTR® Butyl Tape is not possible on frozen or damp substrates. For joints on stone or concrete substrates, it is recommended to pre-treat them first with adhesive primer. Use a silicone pressure roller to adhere the membrane or membrane securely to the VASTR® Butyl Tape.
