TAFTEX EX-130

TAFTEX® EX-130 is a water-repellent and breathable membrane, which consists of two layers of polypropylene with a functional micro-porous membrane in between. TAFTEX® EX-130 protects constructions against wind and rain, while allowing any moisture to escape through the TAFTEX® EX-130. TAFTEX® EX-130 is KOMO-certified.

Applications

TAFTEX® EX-130 is applied as a water-repellent and breathable layer on the cold side of roof and facade constructions in new-build and renovation projects. TAFTEX® EX-130 can be applied to both soft and hard surfaces in roofs and facades.

Processing

TAFTEX® EX-130 should be placed in the same way as roof tiles, whereby the horizontal overlap must be at least 150 mm. Use TAFTEX® Membrane tape to tape over staples and overlaps.
TAFTEX® EX-130 is attached to constructions with stainless steel staples, and (counter) battens are then placed over the staples. VAST-R® Nail-proof tape must be placed under the (counter) battens to make sure that the holes produced by screws have a watertight finish. Always apply TAFTEX® EX-130 so the printed side faces outwards. When used together with facade panels, battens must cover the staples on jamb sections. When working around corners, the membrane must be continued to the next jamb section, where it can be fixed in place using staples and possibly a batten. VAST-R® Butyl tape must be placed under the battens to create an effective water barrier, and to extend the lifespan.
