TAFTEX® EX-130 is a waterproof breathable membrane composed of two layers of polypropylene with the functional microporous membrane in between. TAFTEX® EX-130 protects the structure from wind and rain while potentially allowing vapour to exit through it. TAFTEX® EX-130 is KOMO certified.

TAFTEX® EX-130 is used as a waterproof, breathable layer on the cold side of roof and facade structures in both new constructions and renovation. TAFTEX® EX-130 can be used in roofs and facades both directly on hard and soft substrates.
TAFTEX® EX-130 should be applied in a shingle fashion where horizontal overlaps should be at least 150mm. Tape off staples and overlap seams with TAFTEX® membrane tape.
TAFTEX® EX-130 is applied to the structure using stainless steel staples after which the battens are placed over the staples. VASTR® Nail Sealing Tape should be applied under the batten to ensure water tightness of screw hole connection. Always apply TAFTEX® EX-130 legibly from the outside. When used in conjunction with façade cladding, a wooden slat is placed over the staples on the batten. At a corner, the membrane should be converted to the next following batten, where it is attached with staples and possibly a wooden slat. For optimal water resistance and durability, VASTR® Butyl tape should be applied under the batten.
