Polytex® Fassade ECO is an extremely UV resistant, breathable and waterproof membrane. The functional TPU layer provides a waterproof breathable effect and is protected on both sides by a layer of polypropylene non-woven. Polytex® Fassade ECO has fire class B-s1 d0.

The Polytex® Fassade ECO has been tested for long term exposure to UV radiation and therefore resistant to partial UV exposure as can occur with a slatted facade or otherwise open exterior facade. In addition, the membrane is suitable as a waterproof Breathable membrane under tile roofs that do not close exactly, such as Old Dutch tiles.
Polytex® Fassade ECO should be applied on the outside (the cold side) of the insulation layer. The area of openings in the external façade should not exceed 40% of the façade area where each opening should not be wider (or higher) than 30 mm. Always attach Polytex® Fassade ECO with stainless steel staples. Attach the Polytex® Fassade ECO to wooden slats. Spacing of slats: centre-to-centre 300 mm vertically, centre-to-centre 600 mm horizontally. Between the cladding and Polytex® Fassade ECO keep at least 20 mm air cavity. Allow Polytex® Fassade ECO to extend at least 100 mm beyond the bottom line and tape to underlying structure with VASTR® Facade tape. For optimal water resistance and durability, VASTR® Butyl tape should be applied under the batten. Finish facade openings and recesses with VASTR® Facade tape.
