Tyvek FireCurb Housewrap

Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap is a water-repellent and permeable fire-retarding facade membrane, which features one layer of 100 % HDPE. The membrane offers great resistance against high temperatures and also retains its strength and structural properties over long periods of time.

Applications

Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap is used as a fire-retarding, watertight and extremely permeable layer, which is placed outdoors under facade coverings in new-build and renovation projects. The membrane is completely watertight. When used on roofs, the membrane should only be used in combination with hard roof boarding to ensure effective support.

Processing

Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap can be applied to both soft and hard surfaces on facades. The membrane should be applied in the same way as roof tiles. Keep an overlap of minimum 150 mm and maximum 200 mm. The membrane is attached to the underlying construction using stainless steel staples. When working near corners, continue the membrane to the next jamb section, where it should be fixed in place using staples and/or battens. Always apply Tyvek® FireCurb Housewrap so the printed side faces outwards.
