Tyvek® Solid
Tyvek® Solid is a waterproof, breathable membrane composed of a single functional layer of 100% HDPE. Tyvek® Solid is highly resistant to high temperatures and retains its strength and structural properties even after years. Wind and rain is blocked by Tyvek® while potentially allowing vapour out.

Applications
Tyvek® Solid is used as a water-resistant, extremely breathable layer on the cold side of facade and roof structures in new construction and renovations. This membrane is completely waterproof and for roofs should preferably be applied directly to hard substrate (such as roof boarding). Tyvek® Solid protects the structure and provides optimal airtight insulation.
Installation
Tyvek® Solid should preferably be applied directly to the roof boarding or other hard surface. Apply the membrane in a shingle fashion, with horizontal overlaps being a minimum of 100mm and a maximum of 200mm. The membrane is temporarily applied to the structure using stainless steel staples. Final attachment by snapping the membrane to the battens. Tyvek® Solid should be applied with the printed side facing outward. Tyvek® Solid can be used in facades directly on both hard and soft substrates. For corner solutions, convert the membrane to the first following batten, where it is fastened with staples and/or snap tape. For roof pitches between 15° and 25° it is recommended to install a heavier type of roof membrane for example the Polytex® Pro (plus), Tyvek® Typrotec (plus) or Tyvek® MaxProtect (plus).
